BT AND LONDON SPORT TO HOST TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION EVENT IN RIO DE JANEIRO
Former multi-Olympic champion Michael Johnson to join discussion at British House
BT and London Sport will jointly host Sport 2.0 - an exclusive event at British House in Rio de Janeiro on 10 August 2016.100% Sport, a global campaign supported by BT to inspire a more sustainable and environmentally aware world, will be at the heart of an afternoon of lively debate.
Joining the event will be a wealth of inspirational panellists as well as special guest Michael Johnson, multi-Olympic gold medallist and Founder of the Michael Johnson Foundation. This year saw the launch of Michael Johnson Young Leaders, an innovative programme supporting the sustainable development of talented young people who have overcome adversity to lead in their community through sport.
Alongside Johnson, other influential speakers that will make up the 100% Sport panel include:

- Ana Moser, Olympic gold-medallist for Brazil & Founder, Instituto Esporte e Educação
- Jen Regan, Chief Sustainability Officer, We Bring It On
- Mano Silva, COO and Co-founder, love.futbol
Sport 2.0 starts with two panel sessions, the first will discuss sport and data and the second will provide an analysis of the current sport and sustainability landscape and sport’s potential to help speed and scale actions for a better world.
Through the sessions and Johnson’s interview the event will explore the challenges that face society on a daily basis. Insightful speakers and renowned experts will discuss the role technology can play in helping people to be more physically active, healthier and happier, and how innovation can take the unparalleled connections made by sport and use them to build a stronger, more sustainable society.

100% Sport, which was launched by BT with Sir Ben Ainslie in September 2015, is a global campaign movement which aims to inspire sports fans to take action for a more sustainable and environmentally aware world.
The Sport 2.0 event sees BT as a leading player in sustainability within the sports industry, urging sports fans to think and act sustainably while sharing their stories and commitments with the wider world through #go100percent and 100percentsport.org. Audiences can tune in for both the 100% Sport panel and special guest interview which will be streamed live on 100percentsport.org.
